Throw The Staples Away

I was at work. I was getting copies off of the printer, then stacking them on the counter to straighten them out. I saw some staples that someone took out and had left on the counter. What did I do? I took my hand and swept those staples right onto the floor (C’mon-I’m not the only one who does this) and started walking away. But then I felt this nudge followed by a verse.

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not human masters.

Colossians 3:23.

So, I go back and pick the staples up off the floor. When will we start to serve our Lord? When will it sink in that we were made to serve, love, and honor?  Honestly, it doesn’t take any extra time to throw something away or do things to the best of your ability.

What if we all worked as if we were working for the Lord?
